The silicon carbon rod and silicon carbon tube are non-metallic heating elements, made of high-precision silicon carbide (SIC) after being recrystallized at high temperature (2,200℃). Its service temperature is 1,550℃, the normal service temperature is 1,450℃, and continuous service life is more than 3,000 hours. It was first produced in the late 1950s in China.
