Alumina ceramic heater

I am looking to have an alumina ceramic heater made that is .250 OD. and it is about 1.5 inches long with the wires installed and everything. also I was wondering if you can machine the product after you receive it from the factory. just wondering if wires are actually in the mass of the part or just connected to the end. do you have any samples? id like to have a try at this before making a big purchase of these.
