1. The Silicon nitride separation turbine is a high-performance ceramic component primarily used in automobile and motorcycle engines to overcome the acceleration lag problem of traditional metal turbochargers. Compared to metal turbochargers, its moment of inertia is reduced by approximately 60%, and the response time is reduced by approximately 30% under the same acceleration conditions. It can also withstand higher exhaust temperatures.

Technical Parameters

1. Mechanical Properties:

Hardness: Vickers hardness can reach 14-16 GPa (HV ≥ 1500).

Bending strength: ≥ 800 MPa.

Fracture toughness: 6-8 MPa·m¹/².

Wear resistance: More than 10 times that of ordinary steel.

2. Thermal Properties:

Coefficient of thermal expansion: 3.2 × 10⁻⁶/℃ (close to that of metals).

Thermal conductivity: 20-25 W/m·K.
