Christmas Day is a holiday. Many homes have Christmas trees and other decorations in the weeks leading to Christmas Day. Some workplaces hold Christmas parties prior to December 25. Festive activities include exchanging presents, singing Christmas songs, going to parties.

It's a special time when children get presents from family, friends and Santa Claus, or Father Christmas.

Christmas cards are also given or sent out prior to Christmas Day. For some, Christmas is an exclusive family affair, while others invite friends to a Christmas buffet or pot luck meal.

Many other varying cultural traditions and experiences are also associated with Christmas Eve around the world, including the gathering of family and friends.

The singing of Christmas carols, the illumination and enjoyment of Christmas lights and trees, and other decorations, the wrapping, exchange and opening of gifts, and general preparation for Christmas Day.

Holiday cards just might be the only postal mail you send all year, so make sure they're a big to-do! You can get the whole family together for a photo (that actually has everyone in it, smiling, hair brushed and in nice clothes — for once).

Memories of Christmas

Christmas Three

A Christmas tree is a decorated tree, usually an evergreen conifer, such as a spruce, pine, or fir, or an artificial tree of similar appearance, associated with the celebration of Christmas, originating in Germany.

Send Cards or Letters

A Christmas card is a greeting card sent as part of the traditional celebration of Christmas in order to convey between people a range of sentiments related to Christmastide and the holiday season… The traditional greeting reads "wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year".

Get In Touch With Santa

Christmas is fast approaching and it’s high time that you and your kids got in touch with the big man in red. While you probably remember the handwritten letters you sent off to the North Pole as a child or posing with Santa at your local shopping centre, today’s technology has given children a number of different ways to communicate with and check up on Santa.

Honoring a Loved One

During a holiday meal with family members and friends, make a special toast in your loved one's memory and/or ask everyone at the table to share their favorite holiday memory of the deceased.

Family Reunion

Often times, people travel to have a joint Christmas with family and relatives. There is nothing as sweet as seeing families get together and gather to spend more time with each other. It’s a beautiful feeling seeing children spending time with cousins, aunties or even grandparents. It happens almost everywhere across the globe.

Go All Out for Christmas Eve Dinner

Christmas dinner is a meal traditionally eaten at Christmas. This meal can take place any time from the evening of Christmas Eve to the evening of Christmas Day itself. The actual meal consumed varies in different parts of the world with regional cuisines  and local traditions.

Christmas Gifts

One of the main reasons we have the custom of giving and receiving presents at Christmas, is to remind us of the presents given to Gold and Myrrh. Gold: is associated with Kings.

Christmas Family Photo

For families, taking Christmas photos, even if at home, creates a bit of normalcy in abnormal times. When we're displaying it next to the previous year's picture, then you see the progression of the kids growing or the new sibling added, as opposed to filing through pictures on your phone.

Christmas Wishes & Messages

The bells are jingling, the house is covered in glitter and The Pogues are on every radio station. It must be Christmas. And, just to top things off, likely receiving cards from neighbours and loved ones wishing you a merry old time. Cards are an always thoughtful way to send a message during the festive season. While you can add "Merry Christmas" to your email signature or share a 'Happy Xmas' over text, a Christmas card filled with sentimental Christmas wishes is a much better way to say 'I care'. Christmas is a time of giving and sharing. Moreover, it is a time to give thanks for the blessings a person gains throughout the year.
